Rates & MSP Pricing
Under the MDSP model, all labor that is included in packages will be covered, while all labor excluded will be charged at our hourly. Most excluded work will be proposed as a Project.
The full MDSP packages consist of several parts:
1)A base layer Device Package that includes the following services for each device:
Screen Connect, Backup, VPN, DNS Filter, Unifi Controller, Antivirus
2) And a Support Package that includes the labor for keeping the system working.
The support package is split into three separate fees:
A) Workstation Support
B) Server Support
C) Network Support
Workstation/Server/Network Monthly Service Package Includes:
- OS Updates
- Server updates -- in-place cumulative/minor updates to a Windows Server the plan already covers
- Onsite Image Backups
- Restoration from Backups
- Email service support
- Remote connection support
- Microsoft Office Support
- Yearly Line of Business Upgrades
- Adding users to existing MDSP computer
- Removing users from existing MDSP computers
- Security Training
- Business Technology Reviews
- JohnsonCN phone system support
- Transfers or Upgrades to SSD
- Network device support
- ISP support
- Onsite backup server (install and maintain) and image backups
- Security Maintenance
PROJECTS ARE ALWAYS RETAIL (Benj, 2026-09-14): project work is never covered by an MDSP package -- it is billed at full hourly/retail regardless of the customer having Workstation, Server or Network Support. If the work is standing something new up, migrating, adding or removing, it is a Project and it is retail.
Explicitly Excludes:
- Monthly phone and/or other system fees
- Server upgrades that are projects -- standing up a new server, or a major-version migration (e.g. 2012 R2 -> 2022). Bill as MDSP - Project / Full Charge.
- Projects & Hardware
- Data exfiltration remediation
- Non-supported Device support (personal devices, devices without JCN remote backup)
- Adding Devices
- Removing Devices
MDSP Rates per Device per month:
- Device Package $7.75 (workstations & servers require one device package per device)
- Workstation $28.60
- Server $52
- Network $65
